Start planning your safari

The finest safaris are never chosen from a brochure. They begin with understanding how you like to travel, what inspires you, and the moments you'll remember long after you've returned home.

A note from the founder

My parents have been part of Botswana's safari industry since 1984. I grew up in the Okavango and travelling extensively across Southern Africa, learning from guides, conservationists and camp owners who have since become lifelong friends and trusted partners.

Today I design every Actually Africa itinerary myself. When you enquire, you'll speak to me, and from that first conversation until you're home, you'll have someone who knows both your journey and the people waiting to welcome you.

Where I know best

The difference is personal

Why travel with Actually Africa

Personal from beginning to end

From your first conversation until you're home, you work with the person designing your safari. No handovers, no call centres, and every charter, transfer and dietary need taken care of.

Local knowledge you can't Google

I know the people behind the destinations, not just the places. So my advice is honest: the best journey isn't always the most expensive or the most ambitious, it's the one that's right for you.

Relationships matter most

Over 90% of Actually Africa's safaris come from returning guests or personal referrals. For me, that's the greatest measure of success.

A little inspiration

Starting points, not packages

Every journey is designed for the people taking it, with fewer rushed transitions and more unhurried moments.

From first call to safari

How I work

  1. 01

    A conversation

We begin with a conversation about how you like to travel, what you would love to see and what will make the journey feel right for you. There is no separate charge for planning.

  2. 02

    Your tailored proposal

I create a considered itinerary, with the reasoning behind every camp choice and the time and space each part of the journey needs.

  3. 03

    Refine and confirm

We refine the proposal together until it feels right. A deposit secures your booking, and I take care of every inter-lodge charter flight, transfer and safari detail. If needed, I can also introduce you to trusted independent specialists for travel insurance and international flights.

  4. 04

    On safari

While you travel, you have direct support from me, and I already know your journey from beginning to end.
